If you are a musician and would like to have your gigs posted,
please minimize the work involved in getting it onto the web.

Provide the following information:


Venue name and location (city, address)
Venue telephone number
Band name (if there is one)
The names of ALL the band members
DATE AND TIMES of the performance(s)
Cover charge and any other miscellaneous information
that patrons might need to know about.
If the venue is new consider providing driving directions.


For venue information please make sure to include:
Name of Hotel/Restaurant etc.
(name of club if inside a hotel or other venue)
Address, including city and state
Telephone number
also email address and or web site address


Resources and time are limited so priority will
be given to posting information that is complete.


Another issue that has developed of late is that of graphics. For
a couple of reasons I prefer not to post announcements that have
graphics. One reason is that it requires more bandwidth – messages
eat up more time downloading and distributing if they have graphics
in them. Also, attacks via virus’ and worms are being distributed
more frequently inside graphics.

I will not immediately ban all graphics but folks who post
announcements that cause problems face the possibility of
being put into a spam category where none of their messages
get read.

Keeping your announcements simple seems to be the most
efficient way of getting your information out there!
