Swallow Hill faculty violinist, Julia Hays' first jazz experiences came here in Denver with Boulder guitarist Mark Klagstad in a trio with him and bassist Paul Warburton. "It was definitely a case of being thrown in at the deep end of the pool." Perpetually changing genres, her playing has taken her from Carnegie Hall to Los Angeles' Autry Museum of Western History and Art, from Chicago's Olde Town School with Hollywood mainstay Ronny Cox, to Kerrville, Texas with songwriter John Davis. |
